This program is about 25 hours of treatment weekly that includes groups and individual sessions. The groups address lowering the risk levels of Dimensions 2 through 6 of the ASAM criteria: Biomedical Conditions, Emotional/Behavioral/Cognitive, Relapse Risk, Readiness for Change, and Recovery Environment. This program provides structure Monday through Friday in the outpatient setting. PHP members have the opportunity to learn relapse prevention skills, CBT skills, learn healthy ways to take care of their physical, mental, and emotional health. PHP members are provided education on community resources and ways to build a sober support network. PHP members learn healthy, communication skills and the importance of setting boundaries and improving their relationships. Motivational Interviewing and frequent treatment planning encourage members to move through the stages of change.
